Mogadishu, July 10, 2009, 7:02 PM-ET, (SOMINA) -Somalia’s Hard-line rebel movement Al- Shebab beheaded two men of having links with the shaky government of the country, officials and relatives said Friday.
According to relatives, a report indicating the men being beheaded was revealed ten days after they were snatched by Shebab militants inside Baidoa, 250Km south of the capital.
“We have been told that my step brother and another friend were beheaded after ten days in detention”, Nuktar Abdulah, a relative said.
An official from the Islamist movement also confirmed the beheading, adding that the two were found guilty of supporting the government of Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed.
“One of the two was arrested by Shebab militants ten days ago in the downtown and I am shocked with the beheading news” Yusuf Ali, a resident said.
An ad-hoc Shebab court sentenced and amputated four men off their feet and hands after accused of robbery last month.
